In May 23–25, 2025, HIROSHIMA SHIFU (international brand name: SHIFU) participated in the It’s Reich’Art Fashion Show, held in Cannes, France.

This prestigious event brought together emerging designers selected from around the world. HIROSHIMA SHIFU was honored to be chosen as one of the 50 emerging designers worldwide, and presented its bag collection crafted from Shifu—a traditional Japanese textile woven from paper yarn.

Throughout the show, visitors and industry professionals expressed strong interest not only in the design of the bags, but also in the unique story and cultural background of Shifu as a material. The collection received warm and encouraging responses from an international audience.

This experience reaffirmed that HIROSHIMA SHIFU’s approach—blending traditional Japanese materials with contemporary design—has the power to resonate across borders and cultures.

Moving forward, we will continue to showcase the possibilities of Shifu and share the world of HIROSHIMA SHIFU through exhibitions and presentations both in Japan and abroad.
